About Me

Hello there! I am a homemaker, a wife to an incredible man, a mother of 2 wonderful & amazing children, and a child of God. I grew up in New Orleans, but currently live in St. Louis, Missouri, and workin' hard to hold on to my Southern roots. I love cooking, volunteering, DIY projects, repurposing, trash to treasure, reading others' blogs, scrapbooking, reading self-help books, creating fun gifts, and learning useful tips.

Finding useful tips for everyday life is something that makes my life a lot easier, and I'm hoping to do the same for others through this blog.

Basically, I believe in living within your means while following your dreams, and being content with what you have. I don't believe in buying the best of the best of everything and spending most of my waking hours cleaning and organizing. My goal is not to have the fanciest, neatest, cleanest house on the block or to own all the latest and greatest things, but to love, honor, and nurture my family and make our lives a comfortable and happy place to be. I would much rather hang out with my family and friends than worry about how spotless my house is on any given day.


So, with that being said, I hope you enjoy my blog and find some useful tips to make YOUR life a more comfortable and happy place to be! Oh, and just fyi, I don't typically post things on any kind of schedule, like daily or weekly. Sometimes I get crazy-busy, and my time management skills are up and down. Sometimes there's a temporary block in the flow of my creative juices, and sometimes they're OVER-flowing. There will be times when I post several things in a week and times when I go a month or 2 without posting. Please bare bear with me (heh). When I do post, I will try to keep it relevant and useful.
